I'm going to be closing my Entrecard account as soon as all the ads I've placed and the ads I've accepted for my blog have completed (which should be in about a week).
I didn't make the decision lightly. I've found some wonderful blogs through the site and have met some wonderful Etsy sellers that I might not otherwise have encountered. I'm going to be spending the next few days adding some of my favorite blogs to my blogroll (over there on the right) and following some others.
Thank you to all the people who have been regular "droppers" on my blog. Thank you to all those who have taken time to read my posts and add their comments. I truly appreciate it.

It seems like a few people are doing the same and I think it is because of the changes, although like Deb, I am not sure I understand it all either.You are on my blog list of blogs that I follow, so I will be sure to still pop in on you!

I'm not understanding the changes either and can't decide what I will do yet. I could sure free up a lot of my time by not doing EC! I do enjoy all the blogs though. I am adding yours to my favorites.

Hey Marylou - are you cancelling your EC account because it's being monetized? the fee for the unwanted ads?
They changed that now! No fee for rejected ads.

At the initial outset, I thought about dropping EC, but now that they've amended the terms (like Duni said, not charging us credits for rejecting paid ads), I'm going to keep my account. But I'm following you now. :)
I don't feel TOO bad about you leaving... you're already on my sidebar! We'll all see how EC works, now that it's "grown up!"

I'm unsure about the changes too (not sure if that's why you are leaving, but if so, I totally understand). I'm going to wait and see for a couple weeks.
I don't blame you. Dropping takes time and with the changes it will be interesting to see how it will play out.

I was just thinking about the same thing this morning. It is a lot of work and then to make changes and rules, etc... trying to be strict about it. I believe they will lose a lot of people. I haven't made a final decision on the matter. For now, I will leave it on my blog to see what happens when the new rules take full effect. I am like others here...not certain I understand the new rules and such!

I am sorry you are leaving.. although I have a feeling that a lot will follow suit.
And I thought I had been following you already..I wonder if I was just mistaken or if something happened when the followers were getting all messed up a few weeks ago... Either, I am following you now!
