I'm going to be closing my Entrecard account as soon as all the ads I've placed and the ads I've accepted for my blog have completed (which should be in about a week).
I didn't make the decision lightly. I've found some wonderful blogs through the site and have met some wonderful Etsy sellers that I might not otherwise have encountered. I'm going to be spending the next few days adding some of my favorite blogs to my blogroll (over there on the right) and following some others.
Thank you to all the people who have been regular "droppers" on my blog. Thank you to all those who have taken time to read my posts and add their comments. I truly appreciate it.

I've gone back and forth about the value of using Entrecard, and I'm still kind of on the fence about it. It definitely increases the traffic to my blog, and I know I've gotten some customers and a few trades from people I've "met" through dropping cards; but it is a time commitment. I'm still evaluating whether to continue with it or not, but for now I'm hanging in there. I've actually found some great blogs and some great Etsy shops while using it, ones I might not have encountered otherwise.
Last month Entrecard was doing a special type of promotion to thank the top droppers for the month, so this post is to send thanks to the people who were MY top droppers:

I've been dropping Entrecards for the past couple of weeks, and what I initially thought might be a chore has turned out to be somewhat interesting. I've found blogs by some fellow Etsy sellers, found others with some good recipes (even though I'm not much of a cook), found some about books (I love to read), and some about movies. Luckily, I read pretty fast so it's easy for me to scan through the articles.
Well, now entrecard has added some more features to the system. One of the new features is "Add New Blog", which will allow people with more than one blog to link them within their entrecard accounts. I can't imagine maintaining more than one blog! I have enough trouble just keeping this one current. They've also published The Official Entrecard E-Book, available for download by members. I'll probably take a look at that later.
I guess all my diligence in dropping and advertising has paid off. My blog is getting more views, and I hope some of the visitors here are stopping by my Etsy shop. There's no way for me to tell, unless someone happens to mention it to me. I've moved up in the entrecard rankings so I'm holding the second most popular spot in the Fashion category. Yay!
